I'm halfway through CASH, Johnny Cash's second autobiography. The conversational style of writing is comfortable and engaging. He tells the personal, painful stories with honesty and raw emotion. He makes no excuses for his destructive behavior, which tore apart his family. As he conveys the outrageous stories of the road, you can almost read the chuckles between the words.

My first read of 2006 will certainly go on my list of best books for the year.
