My Pop is a construction foreman. He builds bridges. Nothing aggravates him more than an engineer. Period. Because my father is a bit of a slow talker and older than your average foreman, these young bucks try to talk over his head. It rarely works. He may not understand all the technical engineering terminology, but he knows bridges. Don't challenge him.
People often use a 'specialized vocabulary' to speak of spiritual matters. I call it Christian-eese. "Walk by faith... Blinded eyes. ...For the remission of sins...Under the blood..." You get the idea. It's not that the message is not valid. It is. But why cloak it in terms that not everyone understands? Who are we trying to impress?
Let's put down our blue prints. Lay aside our diplomas and certificates. Talk to people in a language they understand or this bridge will never get built.
