Somewhere, some one can say, "I knew Allison Kraus when she played fiddle in the bluegrass festivals held in cow pastures." There is, somewhere a waitress who served Sheryl Crowe coffee after she played for tips. I'm willing to bet Bonnie Rait still has friends who knew her before she became known to us as one of the greatest slide guitarists of all time.

Last evening Jason and I spent a few hours at Starbucks. Our friends Rachel, David and Jacob made their debut as 3 Lefts Right. They offered a great blend of secular and spiritual accoustic tunes. (My personal favorites were "Crazy" and "Ups&Downs".) They sounded great. They were well received. This could be the beginning of something great for them.

I look forward to the day I can brag, "I knew them when..."

I think I'll avoid the rush and start bragging now that I'm friends with these 3 beautiful, talented people.
