Jason is off to see a Skillet concert tonight. I'm not a major Skillet fan, so I have opted out. I will be staying home, cleaning.

I'm a lousy housekeeper. I'm the first to admit it. Let's blame it on my mother, shall we? My mother is a neat freak. She will tell you otherwise, but don't believe her. She wants everything in its place. I rebelled! I'm a total slacker when it comes to cleaning. You won't find any stale food in neglected dishware. My sinks, showers and bathrooms are clean. But....dust, clutter and shoes are a different story. My record for shoes cast around the house is 9 pairs! (Jason will have to verify that, but I think I'm right.)

I find chaos comforting.

Ever so often I invite some one to visit with us. This is a kickstart. I HAVE to clean the house now. So tonight, in preparation for ali's visit, I will clean, clean, clean. My mother will drop by. She'll be so proud. "Now, why can't you just keep it like this?" she'll ask. I will nod and kick my shoes off, sliding them under the sofa.
