Some things you just expect people to know. Some behaviors are not socially acceptable and we all know that, don't we?

Some one tell the woman sitting at the near table at Cheddar's last night. Follwing a meal of shrimp she piled her plates to the side, opened her purse, pulled out a long thread of dental floss and....

Yep. Flossed. All the while chatting with her companion. She would prattle on loudly and while her friend responded, she flossed.

I was taught to never talk with my mouth full and not to play with my food. No one ever gave me instructions regarding flossing at the table of a casual dining restuarant. I guess I was just expected to know. Aren't we all?
