I recently agreed to transport an underage friend across state lines for a Rock N Roll show. Her mother, a handwriting anyalist, requested a sample of my script. She wants to be sure I'm not "disturbed". I wrote a short note and crossed my fingers, praying for my friend's sake and for mine that I am not "disturbed".
Out of couriosity I Googled handwriting analysis and found this site:
www.myhandwriting.com . I took the self test. It was dead on. Apparently, the way I cross my 't' shows some self-esteem issues. The loop in my 'y' shows my need to control my emotions. The fact that my 'o' has no visible looping shows a tendancy toward brutal honesty. Who knew?
Which leads me to the question: How unique are we? My handwriting is not distinctive. I've seen many people with the same style script. Do all those people share my personality traits? Am I just a carbon copy of some other rounded letter writer?
Of course there are some things the analysis won't tell you about me. My favorite color is red. I love the smell of burning coal. (It reminds me of home.) My favorite food is mashed potatoes. I think the most beautiful thing God ever made is a yellow tulip. Are these the things that make us unique, the things that aren't determined by self-esteem or integrity?
It also occurs to me that I don't know the psychological flags I might throw by liking the color red, mashed potatoes and the smell of burning coal. Does my friends mom?
"Tulips! OMG! I had no idea! You can not travel with this woman. She is obviously disturbed!"
